Hurricane Disaster Relief, 2005
Four Months after Katrina hit Mississippi, they are still in a state of turmoil in certain hard hit areas such as Pass Christian, Waveland and Bay St. Louis. Here are some more pictures of how they are doing today. Also included are photos from three of our most recent trips. The first one we took in thousands of pieces of fresh fruit and bread along with Meals-in-a-bag, The second trip we delivered backpacks full of supplies to children and teachers who lost everything in the storm. Our most recent trip was just before Christmas where we took in over 1750 Candy bags and over 5,000 full size candy bars with the Christmas story in it, to the children and teens in Pass Christian as well as to the "Village" where we distributed coats and blankets. Please note the last two pictures are of God's Katrina Kitchen. This is a completely volunteer feeding tent that has been feeding the people since a couple days after the storm hit and was started by some of the survivors. Now volunteers come from all over the country and over seas come to help feed those who are still in need. We will be returning again to Mississippi to take aid, love and encouragement to those whose road to recovery will be a long one. Thanks to all of you who have help to keep us going. A special Thank you to those who were instrumental in providing for these events:
Church of God of Prophecy for the use of their van; AMtel who kept our vehicles full of gas; First Baptist Church of Panama City Beach, Fl. for providing the Fruit and bread;Kathryn Beich for the cases of Full size acndy bars;the students at Eastbrook Acadmy in Wisconsin for all the peanutbutter; The students from Camden Middle School who gathered all the school supplies; Everet Baptist Church youth group who assembled 1500 candy bags for us and Magnolia Maner who put together 230; and to all who put in countless hours of labeling, sorting, packing and praying, our sincere gratitude.

Hurricane Katrina proved to be a devistating storm that left so many people in desperate need of help. We would like to thank the hundreds of volunteers who helped to label, sort and box over 50,000 relief items not including the thousands of bottles of water. To all the people and businesses who donated and supported our relief efforts, a sincere thank you. Your time and contributions were met and recieved by hungry, scared, emotional, and spiritually hurting people. From the new born babies to the elderly that you all helped to feed, THANK YOU, your giving and caring made a difference in thousands of peoples lives. I regret that we cannot list every person and group that helped, for it is too numerous a list, but your kindness has not gone unnoticed.
